ITIL,To go or not to go ? this is a must !

What do you think about now? to go ro not to go?
In recent years we can see a trend about ITIL in many major IT firms, lets review some cases:
1- IBM
IBM has introduced a new methodology that its name is ITUP (IBM Tivoli Unified Process)
ITUP is a combination of ITIL and RUP, in another words RUP has been rewritten based on ITIL best practices.

2- Oracle
Oracle has released its Enterprise Manager 10g in May 2007 that supports ITIL best practices

3- Microsoft
Microsoft has updated MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework) based on ITIL best practices.

4- HP
HP Open View supports best practices.

......

So you can see a big effort in major IT vendors toward ITIL as an axis for IT service management.
